Protesters March for Recent Killings in Ferguson and New York

Today in Washington D.C. a crowd of 5,000+ marched up Pennsylvania Avenue as the moved towards the Capitol Building. Recent deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner sparked a country wide protest as officers who killed the deceased were acquitted of their respective charges. Many people find this to be a very sensitive controversial issue, as it is so. These recent deaths have made national news and people everywhere including celebrities have all come out and spoken on the topic. For example, members of the St. Louis Rams walked onto the stadium with their hands up implying the do not shoot me pose. In the NBA, many players including our own Derrick Rose wore warm up jerseys that read "I can't breathe." Protests have occurred in many cities, and enough people have showed up to shut down major roads, bridges, etc... in these cities. During the marches, protesters were holding signs with quotes by civil rights activists such as Martin Luther King Jr, and were chanting the words, "I can't breathe." (the last words of Eric Garner).
